Wilpattu National Park is a park situated on the isle of Sri Lanka. The exclusive feature of this park is the subsistence of “Willus” -Natural lakes, sand rimmed water sink or gloominess that fill with rainwater. Positioned in the Northwest shore of Sri Lanka, it is a lowland arid zone. The park covers an area of is 131, 693 hectares and ranges from 0 to 152 meters above sea level. Almost sixty lakes and tanks are found broadend throughout Wilpattu. Wilpattu is one of the biggest and oldest National Parks in Sri Lanka. Wilpattu is amongst the top national parks world famous for its Leopard population.
