Vasuki Tal, Kedarnath, Uttarakhand - snow clad peaks, lakes, glaciers
Vasuki Tal located at an altitude of around 4135 m above the sea level is one of the prettiest sight in Kedarnath. Surrounded by the majestic snow clad Himalayas, it is one of the most sought after destinations among the tourists. It is the tranquil beauty of this lake that leaves the onlookers mesmerized. The tourists can also enjoy the beautiful view of the neighboring Chaukhamba that look amazingly panoramic when clad with white snow in the winters. For visiting this lake, one has to cross the two glaciers -the Chaturangi Glacier and the Vasuki glacier. In order to cross the Glaciers the tourists require a lot of courage, stamina and will power as both these Glaciers are filled with crevasses. The best time to visit this lake is from June to October as the weather remains pleasant.
