Vashistha Ashramis an important pilgrimage destination in Guwahati which is located on the confluence of three rivulets namely Sandhya, Kanta and Lalita which are said to be the three wives of sage Vashistha. It was built by the Raja Rajeshwar in the 18th century at the Sadhayachal hill ranges. It is believed that a dip into the water passing by the ashram washes away all the sins of the devotees. Blessed with a divine ambience and pleasant and tranquil atmosphere, a trip to this ashram is really praiseworthy.
