Dating back to 8th century, Vaithal Deul temple is one of the must-see attractions in Bhubaneswar of Orissa. The temple is well-known for its Tantric feature. The temple derived its name as it has spectacular rectangular tower which is literally meaning of “Deul”. The temple not only highlights religious beliefs but it also throws a good light on the perfect blend of worshipping style of Buddhism and Hinduism. One could see the adorned entrance gate having a four-faced Linga. Then, on the east side of the tower, an icon of Surya God along with Usha and Pratyusha, his two sisters are beautifully engraved.
