Uttarayan Complex is a prestigious place in Santiniketan where Rabindranath Tagore used to live. The splendid building of Uttarayan Complex is divided into various buildings having distinct architectural styles. It consists of five houses namely Udichi, Udayana, Konarka, Shamali and Punascha. A prayer hall is also there which was constructed by Devendranath Tagore in 1863 where Brahmo prayers were performed. The complex also houses an art gallery and a museum which exhibits the Nobel Prize medal, a watch and a bangle of Tagore. The gallery of the complex displayed magnificent murals that look simple wonderful and attract the tourists. The complex is closed on Wednesday.
