UP Government Museum, Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh - Rare collection of ancient artifacts
UP Government Museum is other main attraction situated in Jhansi. This ancient museum was constructed in 1878 and is great place to see lots of things belonging to Chandela dynasty. One could see great and rare collection displayed wonderfully in this museum and the highlights of the museum are paintings, coins, weapons, dresses, photographs, terracotta, sculptures, manuscripts and statues made up of bronze. Other than this Chandela gallery, there is also a gallery belonging to Gupta period which is the second main highlight of the museum. But, keep in mind, the museum is closed on every Mondays and also second Saturday.
