Uma Nanda Temple is also situated atop the Bhasmacala Hills lying on the Peacock Island. The main shrine of this magnificent temple is Lord Shiva. King Gadadhar Singh constructed this stunning temple in 1649 AD. The temple is main source of attraction for its visitors because of its intricate Assamese interiors that shows the creativity and caliber of sculptors of Assam. One could see attractive images carved on the huge rocks. The main figures depicted on the rock are of Hindu Gods like Lord Shiva, Lord Surya, Lord Ganesha and also ten forms of Lord Vishnu.
