Travel Within Jammu

To travel within the city- Jammu is not at all matter of tension as there are lots of options available for the same. The most common one is taxis which you can easily see just stepping out the railway station. Also, there are auto rickshaws, jeeps and mini buses for travelling in and around the city. Taxis in Jammu are metered and if you want to go for day excursion or nearby station, then at railway stations you can get pre-paid taxis. This reduces the chances of being cheated. Auto-rickshaws are also available for getting into the city and moving from one place to another. But they are not metered, so the rates should be pre-decided!
