Built in the year 1478, the palace itself consists of two main structural areas. Educational and administrative wing comprising of one area and the dwelling quarters of the Sultan being the other. Imperial Gateway is a splendid doorway access followed by the Courtyard I and the Courtyard II which is also called the Divan Square.  The harem section of this place holds a privileged ranking in history as it houses the women’s quarters. One gets to witness numerous stone courtyards for the head wives and concubines. This woman’s quarters also comprised of a Turkish bath area, flats for the chief of wives, dormitories for the concubines, ‘forty stairs’ and a hospital.
