The Residency, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh - Historical monuments and wonderful views
Nawab of Oudh named NawabSaadat Ali Khan had played the significant role in construction of The Residency in Lucknow. He had given final touch to this preserve monument in 1800 AD but actually the foundation stone of this monument was put by the NawabAsafuddaula in 1775AD. The Chief Commissioner of Oudh made use of it afterwards. Whatever the history is, but at present the historical monument serves as one of the main attractions in Lucknow. Inside the premises of monument, one could also explore the Treasure house, Banqueting Hall, Imambara and Mosque, Museum, Begum Kothi, Bailley Guard Gate and Dr. Fayrer’s House.
