Indian Railways was the founder of one of the most ancient rail museum in Mysore named The Railway Museum in 1979.The name itself develops the feeling of watching it and so, is the must-see place of Mysore. The main attraction of this museum is the two royal coaches booked for the Mysore Maharaja, a part of Sri Ranga Pavilion. Also, this museum houses a Chamundi Gallery where one can see the entire steps of development of Indian railways in black and white which makes them more appealing. Then, tourists also love to see other interesting section of this museum named Maharani’s Saloon carriage which has a dining car section, royal toilet and a kitchen all belonging to the year 1899.
