Tawi Wildlife Sanctuary, Aizawl, Mizoram - Wildlife and bird watching
Located at the distance of 101 kms from Aizawl, the Tawi wildlife sanctuary is one of the main attractions in Aizawl. Covering an area of 35.75 sq.kms, it is home to different types of attractive flora and fauna. In 1978, this sanctuary got notification and is having tropical evergreen and semi-evergreen vegetation. The sanctuary is well-maintained and does have favorable climatic condition with flora such as bamboos, canes, duabanga and fauna consists of barking deer, jungle cat, tiger, leopard and much more. If you want to witness this sanctuary at its fullest, then must make a plan to visit in the months between October and March.
