Sudhanyakhali Watch Tower, Sundarbans, West Bengal - A watchtower in Sunderbans
Sudhanyakhali Watch Tower is a famous tower in the Sundarbans forest from where the tourists can spot most of the tigers. Moreover, some other wild animals like wild boars, axis deer and crocodiles can also be seen from this tower. It has a capacity of holding 2 perosns at a time. A sweet water pond is also located near it where several animals come to drink water. Another famous place nearby is the Sajnekhali watch tower which has a capacity to host 20 persons at a time. In this watch tower complex, a mangrove interpretation centre, a crocodile park and a Bono Bibi Temple is also located. It provides an opportunity to view various bird species such as kingfisher, lap wings, while bellied sea eagle, curfews, pelican and sandpipers etc. Besides, there is also a Do Banki watch tower that offers a wonderful experience of watching wildlife from its canopy walk.
