Popularly known as Meenakshi Temple, Sri Meenakshi Sundareshwar Temple is perfectly believed to be the lifeline of Madurai and is site listed in the world famous attractions. The temple is dedicated to Lord Sundareswarar, an incarnation of Lord Shiva. Originally, the foundation stone of this temple was put by Kulasekara Pandayas but furbished by Nayaks. This astonishing temple is famous for its gigantic structure as well as its Dravidian architectural style which is very fabulous and appealing. Within the premises of the temple, one can see fourteen gateway towers famous as Gopurams that attracts the visitors for the sure!!
