One of the important tourist places of Visakhapatnam is the Simhachalam. People like to visit it for its architectural magnificence. It has lost some of its sculptures during the Islamic incursion. The inscriptions on the wall of the temple date the most ancient times from 10 to 11th centuries. Simhachalam is situated at a distance if 15 Km from the heart of the city. It is dedicated to the Lord Vishnu. The temple is scripted in the style of Chola and Chalukya period. There is also a local railway system making it easy to reach Simhachalam temple.
