Constructed in the late 19th century, Shiv Bari Temple is one of the prime attractions in Bikaner. The temple is situated only at the distance of 6 kms from the city center. Maharaja Doongar Singhji constructed this temple and is devoted to Lord Shiva. The idol of Lord Shiva is very eye-catching and made up of black marble. Also, there lies a statue of Nandi made up of bronze metal exactly in front of Shiva Lingam. The temple is also popularly known as Laleshwar Mahadeo and is also well-known for its red-hue impact because of its construction in red sandstone. In the premises of temple, there are two sacred water reservoirs, which are summoned as “Bawaries” in the local language.
