The Arabian Wildlife Center features over 100 species of current and vanished animals from the Arabian isthmus. The reptile, fish and insect home feature Arabian snakes counting the venomous vipers and adders, monitor lizards and chameleons. Widespread insects such as camel spiders and scorpions are displayed. The bird aviary at the Arabian Wildlife Center in Sharjah encloses numerous species of songbirds, Indian Roller birds, Houbara Bustard and flamingos. The aviary is set in a wadi and desert milieu with a toddle through cavern containing a reservoir with blind cavern fish from Oman. Alongside the aviary are the smaller cats of the desert such as the Caracal, the Wildcat and the Sand Cat.The night-time house displays a multiplicity of mammals counting three species of fox, porcupines, hedgehogs, mongoose and twelve rodent types.
