The name of Pichola Lake was derived from a small village – Pichola Village. Maharana Udai Singh expanded this lake in 15th century after he founded this city. The lake is spreaded over 3km wide area and it is 4 km long for making place in your heart. Badipol is a brickwork dam constructed by Maharaja. This lake has given place to two world famous building – Jag Mandir and Jag Niwas. The lake throws great reflection of almost all the palaces of this city. The stunning view of this lake with an enclosure of palaces, temples, bathing Ghats, gardens and hilly terrains make it so popular.
