There lies a stunning temple in Mahabaleshwara which is one of the oldest temples, yet it still regains its great charm and fantasy – The PanchgangaMandir. As it could be guessed from the name itself, it is the temple of five rivers. The confluence of five auspicious rivers at this significant temple in Mahabaleshwar took place and the five of them are Venna, Gaytri, Savithri, Krishna and Koyna. Raja Singhandeo constructed the outstanding temple in 13th century but it took actual shape in 19th century. “Gomukh” is the main attraction of the temple carved beautifully on one stone.
