Temple

Pahari temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple is located on top of the hills of Ranchi which is at a height of 2140 feet above the sea level. The temple is also called as Phansi Tongri because during the ancient days many of the freedom battalions were hanged here. In remembrance of the sacrifice of the freedom fighters the national flag is hosted here on the republic days. 300 steps are raised to reach the temple. The surrounding is also a very pleasant one with trees and green bushes around it. “Shravana” month of the Hindu calendar is considered as the busiest time for the mandir.
