Of all the breathtaking regal townships dotted around Minas Gerais, Ouro Prêto is the sparkler in the tiara, is one of the most historical cities in Brazil and is chosen as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO because of its historical and majestic architecture. This previous regal mining township is situated about 100 km south of Belo Horizonte in the Serra do Espinhaco mountains.
