Designated as one of the most beautiful and enthralling waterfalls of entire north east region of India, the Nuranang Waterfall is located 40 km from Tawang. Locally referred as the Jung Falls, it is a fabulous natural attraction that beckons a number of tourists to view the unusual sight of this milky white waterfall gushing down from a height of 100 meters. The legend associated to this fall says that a Monpa girl named Nura once helped an Indian soldier during the war of 1962. But later on she got captured by the Chinese army. Thus to pay honor to this local girl, this waterfall was named after her. A hydel power plant is also established at the base of this waterfall to supply electricity to the locals.
