Being a hub of great historical museums, Trivandrum also houses quite appealing excellent museum named Natural History Museum. It is just located in the vicinity to Napier Museum and Zoo. The building of this museum consists of two storeys and is home to affluent collection of relics of past era. Actually, the museum highlights the precious belongings of General Cullen, who used to grant all his precious things to the museum in 1885. The edifice of Natural history museum got renovated in the year 1964 and since then, it has number of galleries. Each gallery displays collection of different niche. The first glimpse of this attraction reminds the wooden houses built in style Kerala Nair, popularly known as Nalukettu.
