Mausoleum of Bahu Begum is one of the finest buildings in Ayodhya which was built on the order of Nawab Shuja-ud-daulah. It was erected in 1816 after the death of his loving wife, Bahu Begum and cost around three lakh rupees. Built entirely with white marble, the tomb showcases a beautiful example of Indian and Islamic architecture. Akin to the famous monument of Taj Mahal, this tomb is elevated at a height of 42 meters and offers a panoramic view of the entire city to the visitors.
