Tuophema, Kohima, Nagaland - Its heritage and ancient look
Being designated as one of the ancient villages, Tuophema is wonderfully taken care by the Nagaland Government. Perched at the distance of 41 kms from Kohima towards the north, this hamlet is famous for its old heritage and its ancient look is its main alluring feature. Though the village is too small, but the pleasure of celebrating the AngamiSekrenyi Festival is very high and amazing. This festival is held during the month of February. The typical Naga cuisine – Ghalo, local rice beer and fish baked in bamboo, add a lot in increasing the flavor of enjoyment at this village.
