Travel Within Madikeri

Taxi

Taxi or car rental is a frequently available transport option to travel in the hill city of Madikeri. But rental service is best available in the nearby locations instead of the city centre. Most of the major places of tourist interest are located within a distance of around 30 km from the town and hiring a taxi can cost nearly 1000 to 1200 Rs for the tourists.

Bus

Being a hilly region, travelling around Madikeri is quite difficult, so there is not much local transport option available in the town. It is small hill town, so most of the attraction can be accessed by walking on foot only. However, bus and auto rickshaws are also available to take you around the nearby attractions such as the Abbey Falls.
