Town Hall in Kolhapur is prime attraction for lovers of history. This historical site is constructed in Neo-Gothic architectural style by Charles Mant during the period 1872 – 1876. The exterior as well as interior of the museum is really adorable and the building is famous for its big spacious hall. In this museum, one can see a very systematic display of various types of items found at the time of excavations like ancient coins, fans, dresses, sandal idols, spears, cannons, etc. This wonderful museum is totally taken care by Maharashtra Government. Basically, this museum displays the items dug out at the time of Satavahana period.
