Tigers Cave is a rock cut Hindu temple located in Saluvankuppam near Mahabalipuram. The temple was constructed in the 8th century by the Pallavas. The shrine is dedicated to Goddess Durga and has carved sculptures of tiger heads at the entrance of the cave temple. The surface of the cave is aesthetically carved with impressive figures which make the place a great place to be visited by the visitors. The place has now been developed as a popular picnic spot where the tourists can enjoy the splendid architecture along with the beauty of the tranquil landscapes.
