The Gadhan Thekchoking Gompa, Manali, Himachal Pradesh - Tibetan handicrafts and the carpets
With the rising population of Tibetans in this region, numerous Tibetan Monasteries have been set up in this beautiful hill station of Manali. Tibet Monasteries are must to visit places here, coming here will not only you identify spirituality within yourself but will also help you to know their culture, art and architecture. Situated near the Mall, the GadhanThekchokingGompa was built in the year 1969. The monastery is famous for Tibetan handicrafts and the carpets which are woven and sold here in the monastery. Built in purely Tibetan style, use of hued and frescoes can be noticed and inside it presides the statue of Lord Buddha.
