While visiting Macau, it is suggested that you take the occasion to see the Sun Yat-Sen Park which is located in the northwest of the Macau Peninsula. This park is one of forty-three Sun Yat-Sen Parks in the world. It is the biggest park on the Macau isthmus. Recently, the Sun Yat-Sen Park has been honored more financial support than any other park from the Macau Local Council. The park, which was created in 1987, was initially named 'Canal Dos Patos Park' to memorialize the friendship between China and Portugal. Doctor Sun Yat-sen is well-known in China as "the Father of the Revolution" or "the Father of the Republic".
