Sri Venkatesvara University Oriental Research Institute was founded on 10^th of July in 1939 by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams management. This institute has some fine collection of stone images, metal images and wood carvings. There are even pottery, coins and inscriptions displayed for all to see.  This is a first rate research and a training center having proper divisions for the study of Sanskrit along with other languages of Hindu religion, philosophy and culture. The library is home to 16,948 manuscripts other than 42,000 printed books.
