San Salvador, Bahamas - Isle- A Home to many Monuments and Relics
A place of historical interest on account of the faith that it was Columbus’ first Bahaman discovery, San Salvador is a small isle with a respectively small population about 1,000 permanent residents and a flourishing tourist industry. The isle offers places of interest such as the Catedral Metropolitana, where Archbishop Oscar Arnulfo Romero, is buried and Puertadel Diablo (Devil’s Port), from where incredible panoramic views over the conurbation and the mountains are possible. The isle is home to many monuments, relics and wreckage sites that unswervingly reflect its rich history. It has miles of untouched and out-of-the-way beaches, and a crystal-clear sea that gives divers visibility of up to 150 feet.
