The Sa-Ngor-Chotshog Centre is considered to be the crown of Sikkim. Spread at a length of approximately 5 kilometers, it is bestowed with unparalleled beauty and splendour. With its unparalleled charm and magnetism, the place attracts lots of tourists. Located on a beautiful hilltop, the centre was established by his Eminence Luding Khen Rimpoche, the Head of Ngorpa in the year 1961. The Sa-Ngor-Chotshog Centre is a Tibetan refugee monastic institution. This is the only monastery of the Sakya Order of Tibetan Buddhism in Sikkim. The centre is located on a hilltop which makes the place more beautiful.
