Ranjit Singh War Museumis international level war museum was established in 1999 to raise a general awareness about the defense services and to pay a tribute to the brave soldiers. At the entrance of the museum, a huge portrait of Maharaja Ranjit Singh is magnificently placed. At both the sides of the statue, you can see war tanks, guns, car scout, fighter aircraft and APEC car along with the model of INS vikrant. The museum houses several galleries including the history gallery, uniforms gallery, war heroes gallery, air force and navy gallery, Kargil gallery and audio visual theatre. An important attraction of the museum is the light and sound show that put light on the independence war and the role of Punjabis in it.
