Radharamana literally refers to who gives happiness to Radha and thus indicated to Lord Krishna. It was built by Gopala Bhatt Goswami and it is said that the main deity of the shrine is self-manifested from a salagram-shila on full moon day of Baisakh and since then the idol here has been worshipped in the temple. It is estimated that in the year 1542, the Lord made his first appearance and thus that day is celebrated here with a lot of religious fervor and enthusiasm. On the occasion, the idol is bathed with 1000 liters of milk, honey, basil and flowers.
