Established in the year 1917 at Buddha Marg in Patna, this archaeological and natural museum boasts of a collection comprising greater than 50,000 objects of rare art, dating back to the ancient, Middle and British eras. The highlights of the place are the beautiful Yakshani statue and the Holy Relic Casket with the sacred remains of Lord Buddha. The museum is an amalgamation of Mughal and Rajput styles of architecture and also displays a fine collection dedicated to Dr Rajendra Prasad, India’s first President. The museum is known as jadu ghar by the local population
