Panglao Island is usually associated with Alona Beach, a packed band of resorts and dive centers on the far west side. While Alona doesn't essentially afford much sunbathing solitude, it's a reasonable choice for those who command tropical drinks at beachside bars after diving. There are numerous other pricey resorts dotted along the coastal band neighboring this typically flat isle, which is alienated from Bohol by a slender canal. Feast time in Panglao town is in late August. In Dauis, it's in mid-August. The small island has many gorgeous beaches of which Alona Beach is the most famed.
