These caves are believed to belong to the gupta period and are widely believed to have been constructed by the Buddhists. The antiquity of this place is remarkable and many people visit it due to thisreason. There are five caves in this place and the lore goes that it was the abode of the five Pandavas in Mahabharata though this is often contradicted by the historians.There is a picturesque hill drawing the attention of people. They are estimated to be 1000 years old and have a majestic garden overlooking these caves.These caves contain the statues and idols of Buddha and bodhisattva and the various jain Tirthankar Rishabhs and ambikadevi.
