FatehpurSikri which lies to the south west of Agra houses India's most alluring and breathtaking monuments.  A perfect combination of intricate workmanship and architecture on a monumental scale can be seen here. Acted as a pleasurable palace, the PanchMahal is known as Badgir means wind catch tower. Built by Akbar on the pattern of a Buddhist Temple is an extraordinary structure, entirely columnar, consisting of four storeys. The jaali built in between the pillars supports the whole structure once provided purdah to queens and princess on the top terraces while they enjoy the cool breeze on the top terrace.
