Spread over 55 acres of land is this small public park built adjacent to the Hussain Sagar lake. The NTR garden was built in the year 1999 and is predominantly located in the centre of the city. Being close to other tourist attractions such as Birla Mandir, Necklace Road and Lumbini Park, it is visited by every tourist in the city. This park was a part of the Buddha Purnima Project which was started for the beautification and development of the Hussain Sagar Lake and its surroundings as a major tourist attraction.
