Located at a distance of about 15 km from the city centre of McLeodganj, it is a famous training centre of traditional Tibetan art and craft. Founded by the 14th Dalai Lama, this organisation is established in 1988 for the preservation and promotion of the cultural heritage of Tibet. It houses a beautiful Losel Doll Museum which is a major attraction and houses beautiful dolls and their colourful costumes. Furthmore, a double storied ‘Happiness Temple’ is also positioned there in the Norbulingka Garden and is renowned for its 1173 beautiful murals of Lord Buddha and a huge copper statue of Sakyamuni Buddha.
