Natore Palace, Bangladesh - Palace
Natore is a district of Rajshahi Division situated in northern Bangladesh. It borders the metropolitan conurbation of Rajshahi, and used to be part of Rajshahi district. About 40kilometers from Rajshahi by road is Natore, an old seat of Maharajas with a gorgeous palace, is now serving as the Uttara Ganabhaban (President's Official residence of the northern region). It was home to the Dighapatiya dRaj. It is located amid well kept ground bordered by a fine moat. The palaces are built in such a sophisticated manner that even to this day it appeals to be contemporary. They include a well outfitted guest house, an impressive gateway and a fine garden festooned with statues of white marble.
