Mysore Palace, Mysore, Karnataka - Its architectural style and panoramic views

Palace, Museum, Monuments

Located at the Mirza Road, Mysore Palace holds the significant place not only in the heritage sites of Mysore but all over the country’s attraction. The palace is also referred as the Mysore Maharaja Palace or Amba Vilas Palace, which had remained the home to the Wodeyar Maharajas for long time. Actually, the palace was constructed in wood but unfortunately, it got burnt in 1897 and thereafter, in 1912, it was rebuilt by the 24th Wodeyar Raja spending more than forty lakhs rupees. The words really seems to be very less for describing the charm and fantasy of the palace designed by the British architect named Henry Irwin completely in Indo-Saracenic architectural style.
