Mokokchung, the birth place of AO Naga tribe, is one of the most popular districts of Nagaland located at the distance of around 150 kms from Kohima. The enclosure of this district is also awesome having Assam on the north side,  Zunheboto on the south, Tuensang on the east and Wokha on the west. The village is famous for its grand harvesting festivals like the “Moatsu” and “Tsungrem Mong”. These festivals are celebrated in the months of March and August respectively. This village is also popular for its handicraft products made by the women. Also, one can see in this district the renowned museum named Mokokchung District museum and Ungma, Longkhum and Mopungchukit are also not to be missed ones!!!
