The Memorial Cathedral of world peace is also known as the Noboricho Church of Hiroshima and it is one among the copious buildings that have been shattered by the atom bomb in the Second World War. The structure that was standing then was entirely cracked and the one that stands today was constructed later between 1950 and 1954. The Memorial Cathedral was built because of the initiative taken by a German Jesuit named Hugo Lassalle who had the calamity of experiencing the blast of the atom bomb. This church claims to be one of the biggest Roman Catholic Church in the whole of Asia and has been structured from the munificent donation of a large number of countries.
