Driving south out of Dublin dangle by and take a look at Lough Tay. The small but beautiful lake in the Wicklow Mountains gets its name from the Guinness family whose estate boundaries with it. The northern shoreline is bordered with a band of wonderfully white sand imported by the landowners. Admired from the close by mountains, the lake bears resemblance to a colossal glass of Guinness topped with a rim of bubbles. Get into some hiking sprits in the neighborhood to indulge in more of the stunning views of echoing waterfalls, vast marshlands, forests and places of historical interest like Glendalough.
