Londonderry, also well-known as Derry, is the only enduring completely fortified metropolis in Ireland and one of the finest exemplars of Walled Cities in Europe. The Walls were constructed during the period 1613-1618 by the honorable, the Irish Society as defenses for early seventeenth century settlers from England and Scotland. A charming county in the Northern Ireland, Londonderry is illustrious for its serenity, picturesque beauty, exquisite beaches and the sparkling university town of Coleraine.  Londonderry is one of the longest constantly colonized counties in Ireland, and for good reason. This beautiful county boasts charming scenery as well as many mesmerizing sites. A must-see on any visit has to be the spectacular Mussenden Temple, a breathtaking spot hovering on the edge of a crag rim.
