Leimapokpam Keirungba Temple, Imphal, Manipur - Religious belief and architectural grandeur
In 1875, a magnificent south facing temple was built by LeimapokpamKeirungba. The temple is quite alluring with its austere appearance and therefore, it is one of the significant monuments of Imphal still today also. Basically, this temple is sited in the compound of Manipur State Road Transport. The temple is constructed in form of a square cube and from inside, the temple is formed in square share. The cornice of the temple is embellished by placing bricks in different layers. In simple words, the temple is quite beautiful and must-see attraction of Imphal of Manipur.
