Lakshman Jhula is the hanging bridge running between the banks of the Ganga River. The floating bridge constructed in the year 1939. The Ramayana history is behinds its naming and the bridge is very popular. In ancient stories of Ramayana, Lakshman used jute rope to cross the river Ganges and the floating bridge gets its name in this manner. The views from the suspension bridge itself are outstanding.
