Covering an area of about 600 square meters, this National Park is located in the tropical evergreen wet forest in the western ghats of the state. Placed under the Global Tiger Conservation Priority-I, it is also declared as a Wildlife Protected Area. The park houses various endangered species of wild animals including leopards, tigers and wild dogs and also acts as a natural habitat for the wild species like lion tailed macaque, wild pig, common languor and sambhar deer which can be spotted here. Dotted with dense grasslands and other natural attractions, the Kudremukh National Park is the prime attraction of the town. Special permission is required to enjoy the wildlife safari inside the park.
